Today was the second show of Friday Groove Radio. Kicking off the show we had DJ Cable and he played his alternative techno, which was followed by the news, announced by Kiajai, Garrison, and Feven who all spoke on the latest children’s book “Rad American Women” elaborating on the uplifting stories from women all over the U.S. and how they are represented in the media. Adding to the news President Obama taking a trip to cuba for first meeting in over 50 years between cuba and the U.S. For our second DJ we had DJ Geminaijah playing dope remixes, following her was commentary and review by Leo and Nila. Last but certainly not least we have our third DJ, DJ FevDolla$ with her hot throwback R&b mix. Followed by a short commentary by Jade and round table by Nick. A great ending to friday night and more come, stay tuned.
Youth Radio Raw is a weekly radio show produced by Bay Area youth, ages 14-18. Students work in partnership with adult professionals to learn the basics of journalism, music production, and multimedia.
