A week after violent clashes between protesters and police, two Christopher Columbus statues were removed from two Chicago parks at the request of Mayor Lori Lightfoot. 18-year-old Miracle Boyd was filming a protest in Chicago when a police officer swatted at her, causing her phone to strike her in the face and knocked a tooth out. Chicago PD say protesters were instigating violence, and protesters claim it’s yet another case of police brutality.
