The King of Streaming – Drake Goes Diamond ???

We all have our absolute favorite songs. The ones that would turn the party up, no matter what. Some might stick with us for the rest of our lives. But how many of our favorite songs actually went on to be certified diamond?

For an album or single to be certified diamond, it needs to sell 10,000,000 million units. Platinum is quite a feat and an artist needs to sell 1,000,000 units, and gold certifications only require 500,000 units.

“God’s Plan” producer Boi-1da broke the news last Tuesday that the single has officially sold 10 million units. The track broke a plethora of records once it was released this past January, spending 11 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100’s, and broke single-day streaming numbers on Spotify and Apple Music, respectively.

According to Forbes, there are only 22 other records that have been certified diamond, it’s not a milestone that can be accomplished that easily. Love them or hate them, let’s look back and see which other tracks can literally be called certified hits.
