Smash Mouth said it first in “All Star”: “The years keep coming and they don’t stop coming.” But switch out “years” with “2020 presidential candidates” and you’ve practically summed up how the election is starting off.
More and more people are announcing their campaigns to become POTUS and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, 77, is anotha’ one in the running. He joins a list of Democratic hopefuls that includes: Cory Booker, Pete Buttigieg, Julián Castro, Tulsi Gabbard, Kirsten Gillibrand, Kamala Harris and Amy Klobuchar.
Sanders ran for the first time in the 2016 election, making this his second bid for president. Not even a day later and young people of the interwebs are using their voices (er … thumbs) to share their opinions.
Before getting into the mixed bag of reactions, here’s a look at Sanders’ official campaign video.
Some appear to be supportive of Sanders — even stoked for his run.
But others don’t want 2016 to repeat itself, or just don’t want Sanders in the Oval Office.
And, of course, there’s a mixtape out there.
So are prospective voters going to #FeelTheBern or will Sanders get drowned out in the ocean of the other 2020 presidential candidates?
Looks like we’ll have to wait and see.
