For the past two years, Francisca Lino has been living at Adalberto United Methodist Church in Chicago to avoid deportation from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Lino currently has an active deportation notice, which means she cannot leave the church without running the risk of getting picked up by ICE. So she rarely leaves, even missing her twin daughters’ high school graduation and even the birth of her grandson.
YR Media caught up with Lino to talk about what it’s like to live under these circumstances and what her plans are if President Trump gets re-elected.
