The nation is still reeling from the shock of one of the worst tragedies to ever happen to the Jewish community on U.S. soil. 11 Jewish worshippers at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania were gunned down on Saturday, October 27th.

While the ages of the victims range from 54 to 97, young people across the country, especially Jewish youth and young people from Pennsylvania, are heartbroken and mourning. Here’s what some young people on social media had to say about Saturday’s tragic events in Pennsylvania.

The shooter posted anti-Semitic remarks on the website Gab prior to the shooting. In fact, the website has harbored so much anti-Semitism and hate speech that PayPal has banned them from their service, and the site is currently offline.

President Trump, along with his wife Melania, his daughter Ivanka, and advisor/son-in-law Jared Kushner traveled to Pittsburgh to pay their respects. Not everybody was happy about this, as there were several protests.

As we heal from this most recent wound, the national debate returns over whether America should be a more armed society or practice stricter gun control like other developed nations.
