I’m here to tell you about Pier 23 Cafe. They are known for their delicious seafood dishes, waterside dining, and live music everyday.
They serve many delicious seafood like crab cakes, calamari, fried fish tacos, and much more. They also serve other dishes like the grilled chicken sandwich, which is my personal favorite. It has bacon, guacamole and monterey jack cheese with basil aioli. I usually get it with fries and a side of jalapeño ranch. Along with the dinner/lunch menu, they serve brunch. Some of the menu items for brunch are the Monte Cristo, which includes a french toast sandwich with smoked turkey, bacon, swiss and blueberry compote. Another brunch item is Smoked Salmon & Dungeness Crab Fritters w/ roasted jalapeño aioli.
The restaurant also has a bar. Some people just go there for the drinks. This restaurant is a 4 star place, according to Tripadvisor. Some reviews from Yelp say that they attend this restaurant the last Saturday of the month to enjoy the reggae band and some locals attend this restaurant after a hard day of work to enjoy a drink, some appetizers and watch the boats go by on the pier. This restaurant attracts tourists because it’s a good taste of San Francisco culture and locals attend because it’s a peaceful place to be at with great food, music, and a view of the bay. Although it is pricey, it is worth it. The quality of the food is unbelievable.
Every flavor was crafted by the hand of an angel. A Yelp Reviewer described the fish & chips as the best thing he ever tasted. There is also tons of seating on the outside area next to the water. It can be a romantic date or a family/friendly place. It’s a difficult place to find parking, but it is quick to be seated and quick for the food to come out. The customer service is great.
I would recommend anything on their menu. Everything I have tried so far is delicious. It just depends on what you want. Some popular items are the San Francisco shrimp sandwich, tuna poke tostada, and baked oysters.
